WHAT IT DOES

Provides a separate manual electrical interface for the shift-solenoid circuits of the selected transmission. On the covered AW4 application, forward gears can be commanded independently of the factory TCM when wired correctly.

WHAT ELSE YOU NEED

You still need a mechanical selector for Park, Reverse, Neutral and the required transmission range. Torque converter lockup needs a separate strategy. Factory AUTO operation requires a functioning TCM and a suitable automatic/manual selector arrangement.

BEFORE YOU ORDER

Choose the exact controller variant above. Do not apply AW4/A340 wiring to another transmission simply because it is electronically controlled.

KIT & SETUP DETAILS
The controller body is approximately 3/4 inch thick, 3 inches long and 2 inches tall, with stops for upshifting and downshifting. Review the selected variant’s installation requirements.
Can I keep my stock shifter and linkage?
That is a common reason to choose the VX Rail Controller. The existing mechanical selector continues to operate the transmission ranges while the VX Rail Controller adds manual electrical gear commands. Confirm the selector can reach the range required by your application.
